During the coronavirus pandemic, it’s evident that if you wait in long lines at pharmacies, you expose yourself to COVID infection. Thus, many customers prefer using online services to avoid the risk of catching it from other patients. In addition, some people don’t feel comfortable buying some medications like Modafinil in the presence of strangers and choose to order them online.
Eastern Pharmacy itself is, more often than not, relatively busy so it’s best to call ahead to make sure they’ve at least begun to fill your prescription(s). There is one cashier in the pharmacy that’s helpful as well as a pleasure to interact with. Even though it’s offered at this location, they’re not too keen on Western Union or cashback services. Also, they will completely refuse to do either of those a few hours after opening and a few hours before closing!! I understand that it’s due to theft-related incidents, but one of the guys there actually gets rude and worked up about it, which isn’t necessary. Just know they’ll go as far as immediately scanning your receipt and doing a refund to put the money back on your card… Sometimes it’s back on your card that night, but it is possible to get stuck waiting a few days. Oh, don’t try going to this location up to 30 minutes prior to closing. They might’ve already locked the door, and if they have, you’re not getting in! If I were closer to a different location, I would avoid this one at all costs.
They are courteous, helpful, and consistent. If I order a refill that is too soon to be covered by insurance, they notify me and leave me a message when that prescription is covered and ready to be picked up. I have drugs needed monthly. Those orders are filled and always ready on time. I travel and am able to call and pick up my prescriptions at a different pharmacy.
Fenway Health Pharmacy is outstanding. They are pleasant, courteous, and professional. There never is a problem getting my prescriptions refilled. I switched from Walgreens who often could not complete my prescription, and charge me twice. I highly recommend this pharmacy over any of the major chains. They deserve 10 stars for the manner in which they treat their customers.
New pharmacy soon to be open for business! Handicap accessible with drive-thru service. Large parking lot with easy access and easily seen from the street.
I’ve been here twice within 24 hours, and there is not enough staff! On the regular line, there were 7 of us with one register open at 2 am… not to mention the pharmacy. I was the only one standing in line, and they kept calling names of people lounging around. I guess all worth it because customer service is also horrible.
Boston Medical Center is my favorite pharmacy. I’ve been going here for about ten years. Text or call alerts are available to alert you when your prescription is ready. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to be helpful.
This store is ridiculous. I will never shop there again. I made a return with my valid receipt on an item that had never been opened and then inquired about exchanging another item on the receipt which was defective and she told me that they couldn’t control what happens to the product and then tried to keep my receipt to make sure I couldn’t exchange elsewhere. Anyway called a few other stores who said they would exchange with no problem.
Eaton Apothecary is an amazing healthcare partner. From the first phone call interaction to now my second of many infusions. The staff has been a GODSEND!! I even got a call from their Chaplain on a day that prayer was right on time. It is so refreshing to know that they are still businesses that still value God’s word and doing things accordingly. Thank you all for just being angels in the flesh.
